What is OurAgenda

OurAgenda is a simple, easy to use Calendar program that keeps track of all your events. It is complementary to the Palm built-in Datebook application and it makes managing full day and multiple day events easier. What does OurAgenda do for you?

It makes entering and managing all day events such as Anniversary, Birthdays, Holidays, Vacation, Festival, and Important schedules very easy.
It can import anniversary and birthdays already defined in Palm contacts application in the Custom fields.
It supports importing country specific and religious holidays, as well as important schedules from txt files.
Events can be entered and managed for multiple users such as a small group of people, family members etc.
You can beam events to another PDA in vCalendar format
Past event can be purged making room for new events
Comes with some country specific 2003 holiday list and more can be downloaded from our site

How to Install OurAgenda

Step 1 – Unzip the files

Unzip the downloaded file using Winzip. If you are able to read this file then you have probably already unzipped the file. You should see the following files in this directory.

InstallFinish.exe
Events.zip
OurAgenda-Readme.htm

Step 2 – Run the windows installer to install Agenda4ol

Run the OurAgendda.exe. It will copy the necessary files for Palm desktop directory to install OurAgenda in your next hotsync.
Put the palm device on hotsync cradle and click on the hotsync icon on palm device (If the palm device is on the cradle, hotsync may automatically start.
Now the program will be automatically synced to your palm device and you will see OurAgenda installation activity on your device. Then the OurAgenda ICON will appear on your palm device.
Skip step 3 if this step is successful.

Step 3 – Install using Palm desktop Install tool

Note: Follow this step if you experience problem in installation using step 2 otherwise, skip this step, as the installation is already complete in Step 2

From Windows start menu, programs, Palm Desktop group, select “Install tool” (you can also load Palm Desktop and select “Install” option from the Palm Desktop “View” menu)
Using “Add” button in the install screen, add OurAgendal.prc and addrsearch.prc files. You should then see these 2 files listed in the Install screen.
Click done button in the install screen. Now the OurAgenda program is ready to be synced to your palm device.
Put the palm device on hotsync cradle and click on the hotsync icon on palm device (If the palm device is on the cradle, hotsync may automatically start.
Now the program will be automatically synced to your palm device and you will see OurAgenda installation activity on your device. Then the OurAgenda ICON will appear on your palm device.

Step 4 – Optional step

The package comes with several event list files that you can import to OurAgenda on your palm. This will make it easy for you to import public holidays observed in many countries without entering them yourself. This optional step tells you how to get those event files to your Palm.

Note: If you were unsuccessful in Step 2, these files many not have been copied to the directory stated above. You will need to unzip the events.zip file to get these text files.

The event lists files supplied with OurAgenda are copied to "C:\Program Files\Softtrends Software Pvt. Ltd.\OurAgenda" directory on your disk.
Open your Palm Desktop program, click on "Memo" ICON
From File menu, select Import option.
Now select txt files from file type and then click on the event list file you want to download to the Palm OS device
Click open button, the file will be copied to Memo and appear on the screen list
On next Hotsync,these files will be downloaded to the Palm device

You can download additional event lists by visiting http://www.softtrends.com/, and going to the download section and then following the steps as described above to transfer them to you Palm device. You can also see the format of the event list files and create your own event lists. OurAgenda will import events from event lists that are in same format as OurAgenda text files and created by you using a text editor.
